BRAGG CREEK— Bringing Kananaskis to life with the sound of music, the Bragg Creek Performing Arts Society will be hosting a COVID-19 friendly free drive-in concert.

Bragg Creek Performing Arts Society director of marketing and communications Hayley Docken said the concert will be like a drive-in movie and guests will be able to bring their car into the Bragg Creek Shopping Centre Parking Lot to relish in a little night music.

“We’re going to have a night full of music for everyone to enjoy,” Docken said. “This is a great way for the community to come together after a long couple of months of quarantine.”

The concert begins at 7 p.m. on Aug. 10 and features local artists Murray Rodgers, Emmett Jerome, Oleana and The Tumbleweeds. Docken described the evening as a mix of country, folk and bluegrass tunes.

“It’s kind of a mix of everything,” Docken said.

The event will be adhering to COVID-19 public health measures and to ensure physical distancing is practiced Docken said there are a total of 150 free tickets available with space for 70 cars.
