CRAIG, Kevin Lyle
April 24, 1958- April 29, 2020
It is with deep sadness that the family of Kevin Lyle Craig announces his passing on April 29, 2020 after a courageous battle with bladder cancer and then eventually brain cancer. Kevin was born & raised in Calgary and was the youngest sibling of 5 children. Kevin and his wife Connie (nee Armstrong), moved their young family to Cochrane 21 years ago and have remained there since. The family spent many weekends camping in their trailer especially up near Rocky Mountain House.
Kevin was the Parts Manager at Shaganappi GM for many years. He took a break from the automotive industry and worked in the oil & gas camps up in Conklin and Fort Mackay between 20012- 2017. In July of 2018 he joined the Parts team at Cochrane Toyota for a brief period before he was diagnosed with bladder cancer.
Kevin was a loving husband to his wife Connie and devoted father to daughters Chelsey & Jamie. He is also survived by his brothers Dave & Bruce (Brenda), sisters Debbie (Ed Laplante) & Julie Ferris. He is also survived by his brother in law Don Armstrong (Bev), his sister in law Lynda (Chris Woods) and sister in law Jean Armstrong as well as several nieces and nephews. Kevin was predeceased by his parents, James & Elizabeth Craig, his brother in law Ken Armstrong & sister in law Dorothy Bruessler Armstrong.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cochrane Food Bank. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the Drs. and nurses of unit 111 & 112 of the Foothills Medical Centre and also the Drs. and nurses of the Chinook Hospice. We are grateful for your compassion & care of Kevin.
Always remembered and forever loved. Until we meet again you will always be in our hearts.
