Newly declared UCP nominee for Airdrie-Cochrane: Laura Talsma

Laura Talsma filed her nomination papers earlier this week and is now the fourth candidate to seek nomination under the United Conservative Party (UCP) banner for the newly-formed Airdrie-Cochrane riding.

Laura Talsma filed her nomination papers earlier this week and is now the fourth candidate to seek nomination under the United Conservative Party (UCP) banner for the newly-formed Airdrie-Cochrane riding. An active volunteer for the party, Talsma is a registered nurse, mother of three and wife of an Afghanistan veteran. She and her family live just north of the Town of Cochrane and are active in the Cochrane community. Talsma joins Cochrane Coun. Morgan Nagel, businessman Peter Guthrie and Airdrie's Mauri Stiff in the running. She can be reached at [email protected] and will have her website and Facebook page live next week. The UCP will host their founding policy convention May 4-6 in Red Deer. Following the convention, nomination races will begin to be announced across the province.
