SUNDRE - Two Mountain View County residents are dead in what is being investigated as a homicide.

On March 29 at 8:50 p.m., Sundre RCMP responded to a report of the sudden deaths of a 35-year-old male and a 41-year-old female, both residents of a rural home located near Sundre.

RCMP Major Crimes have taken over carriage of this investigation, with the assistance of RCMP Forensic Identification Services.

“It is believed the 41-year-old female is the victim of a homicide. The RCMP Major Crimes believes this is an isolated incident and are not looking for any suspects, nor are charges anticipated,” said RCMP Cpl. Deanna Fontaine, a media relations officer in a press release issued this morning.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary will be completing autopsies on both deceased today.

RCMP will not be releasing the identities of the deceased.
