The month of December is all about Christmas and the Town of Cochrane is certainly in the mood to celebrate the holiday season.

DEC. 1

Christmas with New West Symphony and Chorus is celebrating the season with an event on Dec. 1 at the Cochrane Alliance Church. The concert will feature a wide variety of Christmas music, including sacred, gospel and new takes on their favourite carols. New West is excited to be partnering with the Calgary Pregnancy Care Centre as their local charity this year. At this concert, they will be collecting the following items: new baby items (clothing for newborns to 12 months, books, blankets, etc.), new or gently used winter coats for women and young children, and books for journaling.

A free will offering will also be taken during the concert if you prefer to give that way. All proceeds from the free will offering will go to support New West Symphony & Chorus in their dedication to helping the less fortunate. This annual Christmas concert has quickly become a favourite. Admission to the concert is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are only available online at AllEvents.in. Please bring printed or mobile tickets for entry.

DEC. 7

The Cochrane Parade of Lights will be taking place on Dec. 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Santa, lights, and the nostalgia of Historic Downtown Cochrane will all be a part of 2019’s Christmas celebrations. Not only will the event host a parade of twinkling lights, but street entertainment, a children’s area, and the perfect opportunity for the public to finish off their Christmas shopping.
