St. Patrick's Day will take place once again on March 17 and the Town of Cochrane will have plenty of events for people looking to get dressed up in green and prove why they're a lucky charm.
The Stump Tavern
From 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., the Stump Tavern in Fireside will be hosting a St. Patrick's Day party so put on your dancing shoes, some green and join them for cheers, beers and a wee bit of Irish shenanigans. They will be serving corn beef and cabbage, bangers and mash and green pizza along with green beer and Guinness. Drink and food specials will be taking place all night long, with giveaways and swag up for grabs. There will also be a DJ starting at 6 p.m.
The Iron Bridge
The Iron Bridge will be hosting Clay Pigeon as part of their St. Patrick's Day celebrations starting at 5 p.m. Rob Skeet (Clay Pigeon) is a live entertainer with over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Great entertainment for lounges, pubs, weddings, tournaments, and parties. Featuring a wide variety of music styles including: Rock, Country, Pop, Sing-along, and some stuff that’s just plain silly. Playing guitar and keyboards and working from a centre of electronic gizmos and whatzits, Rob uses his boundless energy to create an evening of fun and merriment. Now with the addition of a smokin’ Celtic fiddler, Rob offers up a Duo alternative as “Rob Skeet and Clay Pigeon”.
Cochrane's Canadian Brewhouse
The Canadian Brewhouse is offering a chance for two to win a trip to Ireland in order to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. They will be taking entires via a ballot box on the 17th until 8:25 p.m., the qualifier winner will be drawn at 8:30 and the Ireland trip winner will be announced at 9 p.m. They will also have Guinness Stew, Irish Shelele Dangles, tankards of Guinness and green beer as well as a pint of green beer plus a shot of Jameson Irish Whiskey on special all day.
Ducks on the Roof
Ducks on the Roof will have Irish music, green beer, shooter specials and St. Patrick's Day giveaways on March 17.
Cumbrian Arms Pub
The Cumbrian Arms will be having their weekly jam, which will entail a lot of St. Patrick's Day, themed music. Their event will run from 8 p.m. until 11 with specials on pints and Irish car bombs.
