Half Hitch Brewing Company will be hosting a solid mixture of new and old faces over the next couple weeks with their weekly musical performances beginning on Feb. 27 with KT Calcutt.
KT CALCUTT - Feb. 27th at 7 p.m.
KT Calcutt is a solo musician that performs all genres of music from artists of yesterday to today. Those artists include Tom Petty, Elvis, Bruce Springsteen, INXS, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, David Bowie and The Lumineers. Calcutt delivers a high energy set of favorites to ensure the audience keeps their toes a-tappin'.
MICHELA SHEEDY - March 5th at 7 p.m.
Michela has graced some of the most esteemed stages in Alberta including performances at the legendary Ranchman's, Cowboy's Nightclub, Big Valley Jamboree, Country Thunder in Calgary and Florida as well as the Coca-Cola Stage and Nashville North Stage at the Calgary Stampede. Sheedy was titled Notable Life’s Breakout Canadian Musician of the Year in 2018, winner of 96.5 CKFM Country Star Search, grand prize winner of the Global Country Star Search and two-time nominee of ACMA Female Artist of the Year. She has been a finalist in a plethora of Alberta talent competitions including: Calgary Stampede Talent Search, Ponoka Stampede Talent Search, Country 105's Rising Star Competition and WILD 95.3 - Project WILD Country Artist Development Program. She has also opened for such acts as Aaron Goodvin and Lonestar.
Michela Sheedy makes her community a priority. You can frequently find her visiting local foothills' country music station, 99.7 Sun Country. She regularly, and proudly, represents the NHL and the Calgary Flames as a performer of the Canadian and American national anthems. She contributes to efforts in fundraising for Calgary-based charities including Gems for Gems and the Alberta Music Education Fund.
ERIN ROSS - March 19th at 7 p.m.
Hailing from Calgary, Erin Ross is an accomplished musician who transcends any one genre. Her soulful original compositions blend masterful guitar work, sultry vocals and showcase her skill as a multi-instrumentalist. Rooted in blues, rock, country, and jazz, Erin offers something for every crowd.
ZENON+ - March 26th at 7 p.m.
ZENON+ is a Calgary based duo offering up diverse original music notably influenced by R&B. When playing covers, the duo can mix it up with recognized songs from an array of genres. Zenon is an experienced front person who gives the audience an engaging performance. Her vocals are soulful and she writes with human experiences in mind, musically best described as an R&B fusion with a moving sound that has broad appeal.
Bev is an accomplished musician who plays drums, cajon and sings harmonies. Her musical talents include having played tenor sax, keys and drums with four recognized bands, one is locally known as Wednesday Night Big Band.
