Dear editor:

The last couple of months have been quite busy for the Cremona 4-H Club.

We had a successful bottle and battery drive thanks to all of our community support.

On Feb. 1, the club held its annual public speaking competition.

Congratulations to the following members who advanced: Jolee Shand, Meaghan Heppner, Tanner Shand, Maddison Stepp, Lisa Jakobson and Gavin Johnson.

We had our club tour March 1. We dressed up warm and had a fun time visiting each member’s place to learn more about their 4-H project.

After the tour, we enjoyed lunch together at the Shand home.

The Cremona 4-H Club held a multi-judging competition April 5 with the West Carstairs Club.

Thank you to the Johnsons for hosting.

We judged feed oats, panels, bulls, cellphone plans and horses.

We also took part in highway clean-up May 3, and would like to invite you to our annual Steer Show and Sale May 20 in the Carstairs arena.

Come support our 4-H members as we show off our efforts over the past year.

Meaghan Heppner and Jolee Shand, Cremona 4-H club reporters
