Electric shock therapy civil suit

Lawsuits taking place on a national level around the devices used in the practice of electroshock or ECT.

I am a retired level one trauma nurse for many years. In the USA there are lawsuits taking place on a national level around the devices used in the practice of electroshock or ECT. No FDA testing of devices or procedures ever done for safety or effectiveness. ECT involves up to 450 volts to the brain and greater.

Used to supposedly help with severe depression and only as a last resort in the past, but not so any longer. Used for many conditions and readily. California courts have proved brain injuries at a minimum from this electrical mechanism of trauma. Medical malpractice firms interviewing as well, and two suits filed against the FDA.

Providers culpable and failing criminally around their duty to warn, protect, and not cause harm. Cover-ups for decades coming to light. There are billions involved in this annually in the USA. Please see ectjustice.com. Interested in bringing suits in other countries as this is a global issue. Thank you.
