Dear editor: The Cochrane Ladies Walking Group meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at the parking lot at Mitford Park and we are appalled every morning by the amount of garbage strewn over this area.

Thank you to all who all who participated in St. Mary’s first golf tournament. The tournament was a success. The weather cooperated and all the players enjoyed themselves. We had 72 golfers with a total of 85 for dinner.

I am writing to let everyone know that the 2016 Cochrane Terry Fox Run will be happening on Sunday September 18 in Mitford Park, a beautiful location for this great run! Registration opens: 10:00 a.m. Walk/run start: 11:00 a.m.

Dear Editor, Congratulations to the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), which is celebrating 25 years of providing and coordinating support services to the people of Cochrane and surrounding area through a wide variety of direct services.

Dear editor: It is my hope that Lochend Corners will come to have great benefit to Bearspaw residents. The declined application is evidence of government-imposed harm. The resultant staggering losses impact everyone in Bearspaw.

Dear editor: My beloved Heeler cross, Ringer, has been under Dr. Rod Niwa’s care for all of his life. He had issues with mobility caused by old age and neuropathy in the last year or two.

Dear editor: Cochrane SummerFest/Classic Bullriding is coming July 26-27 and we are on the prowl for volunteers. Are you part of a group that needs a bit of help financially? Give us a call.

Dear Editor: I was very pleased to see your paper chose to do an article on the re-opening of the Cave and Basin in Banff. I was also pleased that you emphasized Roland Rollinmud’s mural that was unveiled at that opening.
