Active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane increase to nine

As of the end of the day Tuesday (Feb. 16) there were a reported nine active cases of the virus in Cochrane. To date, the town had identified 323 cases of the virus— Two people have died and 312 people have recovered.

COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane has increased by one.

As of the end of the day Tuesday (Feb. 16) there were a reported nine active cases of the virus in Cochrane. To date, the town had identified 323 cases of the virus— Two people have died and 312 people have recovered.

In the last 24 hours, the province of Alberta identified 277 new cases of the virus after the completion of 7,436 tests.

The provincial testing positivity rate sits at 3.9 per cent.

There are 370 current COVID-related hospitalizations in the province, including 60 people in intensive care units.

The province reported seven additional COVID-related deaths. To date, 1,798 Albertans have died

A reported 152,056 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered as of Tuesday. To date, 56,594 Albertans have been fully vaccinated with two doses.

There 4,857 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.
