The Cochrane Activettes will be holding an open house and information session tonight (Jan. 9) in an effort to both recruit and educate any women interested in the charitable group.

Held at 6 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, the open house will provide a forum for women of all ages to ask questions and hear more about the group’s volunteer opportunities.

“Women feel they need to be invited to join the Activettes, and that isn’t the case,” said Kathy Hubman of the Cochrane-based organization. “Absolutely anyone is welcome at any time.”

The club is a not-for-profit group dedicated to engaging in charitable work throughout Cochrane and the surrounding area. The Cochrane Food Bank and the Clothesline are just two of the programs run by the ladies.
