A Calgary man is facing multiple charges following a break-and-enter at Cochrane’s Home Hardware building centre May 18.

Steven Molnar, 42, is accused of the 3:30 a.m. break-in, said Cpl. Greg Stannard of Cochrane RCMP. The suspect gained access to the building by smashing the front doors, before making off with an array of power tools. Stannard said the business owner estimated the suspect made off with about $3,000 - $4,000 worth of merchandise.

Molnar is facing the federal charges of break-and-enter, flight from police and driving while disqualified, along with provincial charges of failure to stop for a peace officer and speeding.

Molnar is set to appear in Cochrane Provincial Court June 13.
