Cochrane RCMP participate in Polar Plunge for Special Olympics

"I was worried I would be a frozen copsicle, but I was brought back to my warm self by the hot tub that was available after the plunge", laughed Constable Gelinas.

Cochrane RCMP Constables Nathan Moore, Bonnie Sauve and Clayton Gelinas joined 100 other brave souls who lept into Arbour Lake in Calgary on Saturday (Feb. 22) to raise money for Special Olympics Alberta.

"This was an amazing opportunity to get involved with the community and give back to the Special Olympics of Alberta," said Const. Sauve.

"They can count on us in years to come. We had a great time and loved participating with all our partnering agencies".

"I was worried I would be a frozen copsicle, but I was brought back to my warm self by the hot tub that was available after the plunge", laughed Const. Gelinas.

Last year this event raised more than $150,000 for Special Olympics Alberta.
