Cochrane reports 142 active cases of COVID-19

As of the end of the day Monday (April 19) there were a reported 142 active cases of COVID-19 in Cochrane. To date, 621 cases have been identified— 477 people have recovered and two people have died.

COCHRANE— COVID-19 cases in the Town of Cochrane remain high.

As of the end of the day Monday (April 19) there were a reported 142 active cases of COVID-19 in Cochrane. To date, 621 cases have been identified— 477 people have recovered and two people have died.

Outbreaks of five or more cases of the virus have been reported at Bow Valley High School, Cochrane High School, St. Timothy High School and Cochrane Christian Academy.

Glenbow Elementary School, RancheView School and Manachaban Middle School are on alert for two to four cases of the virus.

In the last 24 hours, 1,345 cases of COVID-19 were identified in the province after the completion of 13,163 tests. Of these cases, 816 were identified as variants of concern.

The provincial testing positivity rate sits at 10.4 per cent.

There are 476 COVID-related hospitalizations in Alberta, including 105 patients in intensive care.

The province reported five additional COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours. To date, 2,048 Albertans have died.

The province has reached a major milestone with the administration of more than 1.1 million doses of the COVID-19 to date.

There are 18,481 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
