A former student of St. Timothy High School is one of two men missing near Canal Flats, B.C.
Nicholas Hoefnagels, of Cochrane, and Stephen Thomson, from Canal Flats, were reported missing early on June 9.
The two men, aged 18 and 21, were in the area camping at Whitetail Lake.
The men were last seen around 3 p.m. on June 8.
Search and Rescue crews from Kimberley and Columbia Valley, along with RCMP, have been searching since the morning of June 9, finding a spot along Findlay Creek Forest Service Road where a vehicle left the road and landed in Findlay Creek.
Kimberley RCMP said personal effects belonging to the men have been found near the water.
Neither of the missing persons nor the vehicle have been found.
