The 2020 Community Builder Awards set to take place June 19, have been postponed due to COVID-19. This year's event features Tom Jackson, and although the show won't go on when expected, it will certainly have its day.

Event spearhead, Dan Kroffat believes this dinner will have a significant value at a later date due to the current circumstances involving the novel virus. He says the Food Bank will be in a real deficit following COVID-19 and will need plenty of help.

"It will become more critical to help them when this whole thing passes," said Kroffat. "We're not cancelling it, we're just postponing it because I feel that later, probably in September, this would have much more relevance. People will come out and support our Food Bank even bigger."

Kroffat added that he is confident ample funds will be raised in support of the Cochrane Activettes because the community will be coming together to support one another.

As for the famous Outhouse Races set to take over Historic Downtown late in September, Kroffat says it will be a game-time call.

"As of this moment, we are examining how the virus is progressing, but we will make a decision on that come June. At this time, I haven't decided whether I'm going to continue with them or not," explained Kroffat.
