For Cochranites interested in the hot-button topic of climate change, head on down to St. Andrew’s United Church on Jan. 11 for an evening of discussion.

The event, sponsored by the Cochrane IDEAS group and the Cochrane Environmental Action Committee, is slated to get underway at 7 p.m. with a presentation from environmental advocates, Marian and Robin White. Trained by Al Gore and his team in the Climate Reality Project.

Following the presentation, former University of Calgary professor Nic David will moderate a discussion panel featuring four local environmental experts: journalist Louie Koutis; wildlife biologist Chris Shank; Tia Goss, who has an interest in conservation issues; and former Municipal District of Bighorn councillor Hugh Pepper.

While the event is free of charge, small monetary donations are encouraged.
