Events society unveils new webpage

The Cochrane and Area Events Society’s (CAES) Internet presence has recently undergone a revamp, unveiling a new, easily navigated, interactive webpage.

The Cochrane and Area Events Society’s (CAES) Internet presence has recently undergone a revamp, unveiling a new, easily navigated, interactive webpage.

Created by CAES’s Brooks Tower — with the help of the Adobe Muse Creative Cloud program — the site now links to pages for each of the society’s events and features a dynamic interactive map detailing the activities of the upcoming Cochrane SummerFest and Classic Bullriding.

This year’s events are set to run July 26 and 27.

The website is still a work in progress, but Tower said to expect regular updates.

Another new development on the CAES front is the recruitment of the cowboys and cowgirls of the historic WineGlass Ranch to be the faces of the ranch-roping portion of SummerFest.

The hands will be at the festival July 27 from 12-6 p.m., to teach roping techniques with the help of a mechanical calf.

“We’re so lucky to have partnered with WineGlass Ranch,” said Tower. “The Ranch is bringing more than 120 years of experience ranch roping to the event.”
