The annual Cochrane Lioness Christmas Market will take place Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church.

The annual Cochrane Lioness Christmas Market will take place Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church.

Treasurer Heather Weppler is encouraging vendors who don’t have the date filled on their calendars to contact her, as there are still several tables available for rent. Tables are $30 for the day and are provided by the Lionesses. Contact 403-932-2297 for more.

“All the money we raise goes back into the community,” explained Weppler. “We’re a small service club (less than 15 active members) and we help out with various community events throughout the year.”

Some of the events that the Lionesses, who are separate from the Cochrane Lions Club, help out with include the annual Cochrane High School (CHS) football banquet, the CHS and Bow Valley High student awards, the Cochrane Labour Day Rodeo and various clubs and organizations such as 4-H and the Bethany Care Centre.

Cochrane Lions Rodeo Royalty, queen Lexie Courtney and princess Dalyce Gagnon will be on site during the morning; there will be a bake sale, soup and sandwiches available for purchase and a medley of artisan goods available for purchase.
