Ocgrow Group announces plans for Greystone Commercial

“Cochrane is the number-one growing municipality in Alberta, so it’s just very exciting we are getting many retailers from across the country reaching out to us,” Consul said.

Cochrane’s largest developer for the new and upcoming community of Greystone, Ocgrow Group, has announced its plans for the community’s commercial space, Greystone Commercial.

Greystone Commercial is slated to be the retail and commercial component of the future Greystone community. It is expected to feature approximately 300,000 square feet of space for retail and mixed-use commercial services.

President and CEO of the Ocgrow Group of Companies, Harish Consul, said the developer’s plans for the commercial space include a pedestrian-friendly street called High Street, a new hotel, and a selection of brand-new retailers.

“Cochrane is the number-one growing municipality in Alberta, so it’s just very exciting we are getting many retailers from across the country reaching out to us,” Consul told The Eagle in an interview last week.

Consul believes Greystone Commercial is a great fit for Cochrane and will help accommodate the growing population and demand for amenities and services in the community.

Greystone Commercial’s first building, Greystone Place, will feature around 50,000 square feet of retail and professional centre space. It will be located along Greystone Boulevard backing onto the waterfront pathways. Development on the space is expected to be completed in early 2025.

Consul added that construction for the new Greystone Discovery Centre will soon get underway and is planned to be open by this summer.

According to Consul, Greystone Commercial will cater to a wide range of tenants, services, and retailers. It will also be located near the SLS Centre and will be a 15-minute commute to the Tuscany C-train station in Calgary.

“We have a host of professional medical services, a vet, optometrist, and amazing new retail tenants we are going to announce soon,” Consul said.

Another piece of information that Consul shared about the future commercial space was in regards to a new drive-thru concept that he claims will be the first of its kind in western Canada.

“I can’t announce the name yet, but it’s a major national brand,” Consul said.

For any businesses interested in purchasing or leasing space in Greystone Commercial, Consul said the best place to go is to visit ocgrowgroup.com or liveatgreystone.com.

“We are very excited about Greystone Commercial,” Consul said. “The mayor and entire town of Cochrane have been very supportive.

“A number of local businesses in communities reach out to us, so it’s really gratifying to see all the support.”
