Police are looking for a man and a woman after $17,100 in merchandise was reported stolen from Goldtown Jewellers on Dec. 17.
Cochrane RCMP say a woman distracted the store’s owner and blocked his view while a man leaned over a display case and took a gold diamond ring valued at $16,000 and a gold necklace worth $1,100.
The male suspect was heavy set, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing white/light coloured ball cap, white outer jacket and red shirt on inside, dark coloured pants/jeans, and white/light coloured shoes.
The female suspect was also heavy set, approximately 5 foot 8, dark straight hair approximately 6 inches below shoulders. The female was wearing a dark blue winter jacket with yellow and red stripes on the shoulders, black/dark coloured pants, and black/dark coloured shoes.
