The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is still awaiting lab results with respect to the grisly discovery of human remains uncovered near Cochrane on Oct. 13.
It was the Cochrane RCMP who received the call to investigate the gruesome discovery, made by a family on a rural property along Township Road 252.
While the investigation has so far only confirmed that the discovery was indeed human, RCMP media relations officer Sgt. Josée Valiquette said they cannot say anything further at this point as to the identification of the remains, the condition they were found in or what exactly was found; information should be directed to the RCMP.
