Two suspects are wanted in connection to the homicide of a man whose body was found over the weekend near the Springbank Airport.
The RCMP Major Crimes Unit issued arrest warrants Tuesday night (Dec. 31) for Trista Nadene Tinkler, 34, and Robert Gordon Daignault, 51.
According to a press release, an autopsy earlier Tuesday confirmed the man found deceased Sunday (Dec. 29) near the airport was the victim of a homicide.
While the RCMP have not yet identified the victim, investigators believe his vehicle to be in the possession of two suspects.
According to the release, Tinkler and Daignault may be in the Calgary area.
Both are wanted on warrants for possession of property obtained by crime, theft of a credit card and failure to appear in court. Daignault is also wanted on a warrant for resisting or obstructing a police officer and is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 185 lbs with hazel eyes and a bald head. Tinkler is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 154 lbs, with red hair and brown eyes.
The vehicle is a bronze 2013 Kia Optima with the Alberta licence plate E22194.
"The RCMP believe that these two individuals may be armed and present a danger to the public," stated the press release. "If you see them or know their whereabouts, or you locate the vehicle, please contact the Cochrane RCMP at 403-851-8000, or call your local police agency."
