With Christmas only days away, there’s little doubt that Santa and his elves are busy putting the finishing touches on this year’s trip around the world. But before he and the reindeer take off, Mr. Claus will be paying a visit to the boys and girls of Cochrane.
St. Nick will begin his trip along the town’s streets, on Christmas Eve. He’s even bumped up his start time - to 3 p.m. - to ensure he has lots of time left to deliver toys to children around the world.
Escorted by the members of the Cochrane Fire Fighters Community Foundation, St. Nick and the festive fire truck will trek through each of the town’s communities.
The holiday voyage will get started in Fireside, travelling northward towards Sunset Ridge. Santa’s visit will wrap up in Glenbow shortly after 6 p.m.
To make sure he stays on schedule - Christmas Eve is a busy night for Santa, after all - the jolly ol’ guy has supplied the firefighters of Station 151 with a detailed itinerary.
Never one to miss a party, the Town of Cochrane’s Fun Van will be along for the festive ride.

As this is the first year Santa’s toured Cochrane aboard at fire truck, expect delays of up to 10 minutes.
