Seniors who enjoyed last year’s movie day at the Cochrane Movie House will be treated to a return performance during Seniors Week next month, thanks to the generosity of a few local businesses and organizations.

Cochrane Toyota, Home Treasures and Cochrane Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) have all pitched in to make the free movie day happen on June 6.

This year’s movie will be The Bridges of Madison County, starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep.

Organizer Dan Kroffat says last year’s event was a huge success and he’s excited to see how this year’s version fares.

“With COVID and everything, it was a tremendous relief for them. Now this year, with COVID moving off into the distance, we’d like to bring it back for them,” he said.

Anyone 60 years old or over wanting to go to the movie on June 6 at 1 p.m. can call FCSS to register at 403-851-2250.
