Town of Cochrane reports 205 active COVID-19 cases

The Town of Cochrane reported 205 active cases of the virus as of the end of the day Wednesday (May 12). To date 967 cases have been identified— Two people have died and 760 people have recovered.

COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane remains above 200.

The Town of Cochrane reported 205 active cases of the virus as of the end of the day Wednesday (May 12). To date 967 cases have been identified— Two people have died and 760 people have recovered.

In the last 24 hours, the province has identified 1,558 new cases of the virus after the completion of more than 15,300 tests.

The provincial testing positivity rate currently sits at 10.6 per cent.

There are 722 COVID-related hospitalizations in Alberta, including 177 patients in intensive care units.

The province reported nine COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours. To date, 2,131 Albertan's have died.

The province has administered more than two million doses of COVID-19 in Alberta— 38 per cent of Albertans have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 7.2 per cent of Albertans have been fully immunized.

There are 24,586 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.
