Two Mount Royal University instructors were killed in a plane crash near Waiparous on Monday. Cochrane RCMP, with assistance from military and civilian aircraft, responded to reports of a plane crash on Feb. 13 at approximately 5:55 p.m.

One set of remains found west of Cochrane earlier this year have been identified as missing Calgary man Fletcher Kimmel. The 30-year-old was last seen in the northeast part of Calgary on Sept. 27, 2016. Kimmel’s body was found on Jan.
