Canadian folk legend Valdy (Valdemar Horsdal) has been called ‘a man with 1,000 friends’ – not an exaggeration for a musician who has been part of the Canadian music scene for over three decades.

This Holiday season a Bragg Creek animal lover and small business owner is once again asking her community to help feed hungry dogs.

Bragg Creek is home to Derby, a pretty special and very decorated bull. Derby is the undefeated Canadian National Grand Champion Limousin bull for the second year in a row and is from Highland Stock Farms in Bragg Creek.

The Water Valley Church and Events Centre is inviting people to come and celebrate the season with some caroling. On Dec. 19 from 6 – 8 p.m., people are invited to join in some Christmas caroling at the church, and no singing experience is required.

This holiday season the Cochrane Movie House is inviting the community to share in a classic Christmas flick – It’s a Wonderful Life. The showings will be free and will run Dec. 21-24.

The Cochrane Glee Club will be spreading Holiday cheer in Cochrane with their random acts of caroling event Dec. 16. The club will be in the community of Riverview starting at 6 p.m.
