The Cochrane Rangers Soccer Club is ramping up for its 2022 outdoor competitive season.

After two years of cut backs to its competitive programs due to the pandemic, the club seeks to enter multiple men's and women's teams in the Calgary United Soccer Association and the Calgary Women' Soccer Association.

“After having to modify our seasons the past two years, we have seen our recreational programs thrive," said Rangers Club president Don Ross in a statement. "We are really excited to get back to normal and play not only recreationally but also at a more of a competitive level.”

Last year, the club's sole competitive men's team, coached by Angelo Papapoulis, finished their half-season undefeated

The club hopes to build up its roster to create more teams this year. The deadline to sign up for the women's competitive division is March 4 and the deadline for men's is March 23.

“Whether you are new to soccer and want to play recreationally, wanting to play with your spouse in our coed program, or maybe you have some past experience and want to try playing for the competitive teams, we have something for everyone.” said Ross.

Registration for the club's recreational league is ongoing.
