Game 5. Canada's own Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors will face off in Game 5 of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals tonight in Downtown Toronto with the Raptors just one win away from their first championship victory since the teams birth 24 years ago. After upending the Orlando Magic, the Philadelphia 76ers and the league's top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks, the team earned this historic berth in the finals against the two-time defending champions from Golden State with the chance to cement themselves into basketball lore and further unite a country that has already loved every minute of this magical run.
Here are the venues to take in tonight's game in the Town of Cochrane.
THE CANADIAN BREWHOUSE
Cochrane's Canadian Brewhouse will celebrate the evening by giving away a Kawhi Leonard jersey at the end of the series.
DUCKS ON THE ROOF
Ducks on the Roof will have the game on their new HD 4K big screens.
BOSTON PIZZA
While BPs won't be doing anything out of the ordinary in terms of drinks or food specials, they are expecting a great atmosphere to watch the game, on all of our big screens with sound on in the sports lounge.
KILLARNEY'S FAMILY PUB
Killarney's Family Pub is currently going through some renovations which causes them to be a bit limited for space but they will be showing the game on all available televisions while also doing their normal daily specials.
THE VENUE BAR AND GRILL
The Venue Bar and Grill will also be broadcasting the game on all of its big screen televisions with their usual Monday specials.
ORIGINAL JOE'S
OJ will have the game on its screens, with their regular menu.
JURASSIC PARK CALGARY
If the local scene doesn't catch your fancy, East Village Calgary and YYC FoodTrucks will be hosting an outdoor viewing party at the Crossroads Plaza on RiverWalk in East Village – South side of the George C. King Bridge. Access is from the corner of 6th Avenue and 6th Street. People of all ages are welcome to this event where a few of the YYCFoodTrucks will serving up dinner, snacks and treats - including limited edition Raptors Ice Pops. There will also be a pre-game event at The Bounce East Village Games Park on 8th Avenue and 4th Street SE, next to the new Central Library to take in a pick-up game featuring Some
of YYC’s best high school boys basketball. The event is weather permitting, in the case of thunderstorms or extreme winds the event will be cancelled.
