The Cobras senior girls have won round two of a hometown basketball series versus Bow Valley.

The charity hockey tournament returns to Cochrane after a year off the ice due to COVID-19.

The Cochrane Cobras shot 88 points over the Bow Valley Bobcats 57, in what was a spirited hometown game for both teams Feb. 1. The Cobras were visiting the Bobcats in the teams first meeting of the season.

Cochrane will get its fill of playoff hockey this year with the Generals clinching top spot in the Heritage Junior Hockey League (HJHL) north division, and the Cochrane Chaos topping the south division for the Alberta Junior Female Hockey League (AJFHL).

"To me, there's so much potential here," said Cochrane Minor Soccer director Scott Ansell. "I would call it like a sleeping giant, where we just haven't had the level of program that we deserve, up to this point."
