OBITUARY OF HELEN CHERAK CARNIE
June 9, 1933 – Plumas, Manitoba
August 8, 2021- Calgary, Alberta
Helen Cherak Carnie died on August 8, 2021 at the age of 88.
Her passing is deeply felt by her daughter Candace, and by her remaining sibling Sonia Krantz (nee Cherak), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ned Charles in 1996 and by her daughter Darcia in 2006.
Helen was a wonderful mother, a devoted teacher, a talented artist, and an inveterate cat lover. She was very well-read, had a unique sense of humour, and handled whatever life dealt her pragmatically and with optimism. She was dearly loved and will be as deeply missed.
A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Hospitality Centre at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens (24223 Twp. Road 242, Calgary, AB).
