Mark Cochrane Culture Days 2021 in your calendars Sept. 11 to 12! Cochrane Culture Days 2021 is set to go!

With two days of scheduled performances on two outdoor stages, an indoor Marketplace, and lots of public participation events, Cochrane Culture Days is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a variety of visual and performance arts and cultural heritage. Stroll between the Lions Event Centre (Fifth Ave) and Centennial Plaza (Main Street), just a 10-minute walk, to enjoy music, art and fun!

The Cochrane Pipe Band leads off Saturday at 11 a.m. at the “Front Stage” at Centennial Plaza on Main Street to a full schedule both days of the Mini Thni Dancers, 1776 Dixie Band, Riverside Jazz, Fig Fusion, KT Calcutt, 4good, Claude Holtz, Hippocratic Oath Big Band, Choral Waves and the Creekside Collective.

“Centre Stage” at the Lions Club Event Centre parking lot (natural amphitheatre) has an exciting array of performers including Band on the Bow Concert Band, Eurhythmics Dance Studio and Snap Dance Studio dancers, plus a celebration of drumming from Japanese Taiko to Stoney Nakoda drumming with the Mini Thni Dancers to a One World Drum djembe circle. The world music and dance varies from Marcos Parrado’s Bolivian pan flute to The Oak Trio Celtic band to the Young Bhangra Calgary dancers!

Check out the artist vendors’ wares at the Marketplace indoor at the Lions Club Event Centre and join in any of the four free public participation events:

· Play in a drum circle on “found instruments” at !BOOM! She Said.

· Bring your kids to make their very own puppets at WP Puppet Theatre Puppet Pop Up! All materials and helpers provided.

· Join in a djembe circle with One World Drum.

· Play in the Mesmer’s Glass Concert (pre-registration required).

It all leads up to our headline performer, Jessica McMann – musician, contemporary dancer, composer, choreographer, and nominee for the Prophets of Music Emerging Artist Award for the YYC Music Awards, (and Cochranite!)— At Centre Stage, Sunday 4pm!

What do you need to do now? Check out the CCD2021 schedule and information about all events at cochraneartsociety.com.

If you are an artist or vendor with items to sell, register online for a table in the CCD Marketplace.

If you are 16 years older of age and intrigued to play in the Mesmer’s Glass Concert, find all the information and register (free) online. Other public participation events are walk-up.

Supported by grants from the Town of Cochrane and Alberta Culture, Cochrane Culture Days is a weekend of family fun where we can all enjoy our local artists and musicians and even get in on the act!
