Dear editor,

Some serious misinformation there! It states that electricity costs about 8.29 cents per kilowatt.

I’m not sure where he is buying it. My electricity cost around 31 cents per KWH. All you need to do is divide the total bill by the KWH used. Do the math. So now the $1.73 worth of gasoline energy will cost you $2.75 for electricity. Lets not forget that that electricity comes from a coal fired generating plant.

Also, GM states that aside from economy, to recoup the carbon footprint of building the battery for the Chevy Volt, you need to drive 120,000 kilometres. The battery needs to be replaced at 80,000. Not quite as green as these greenies like to tell us!

It’s all fine to be trying to improve our clean energy, but it’s got a long way to go to equal our clean ethical oil and gas industry.
