Letter to the Editor: "Be Kind, Be Considerate" when talking about multi-use parks

Thank you, Nadine Wellwood, for voicing your opinion in support of choice and freedom with regards to the Jim Uffelmann multi-use park. I would like to add my vote for your idea of living together in harmony as residents of Cochrane.

Thank you, Nadine Wellwood, for voicing your opinion in support of choice and freedom with regards to the Jim Uffelmann multi-use park. I would like to add my vote for your idea of living together in harmony as residents of Cochrane.

We moved into the town of Cochrane about two years ago and love the small-town feel. Seeing families and individuals of all walks of life engaged in various activities has been living proof of the spirit "Be Kind, Be Considerate" currently proclaimed by Town Council. People figured out the “rules” long before they was written on any announcement boards around town. I believe sharing and experiencing the common space is the essence of living in a community such as ours, in kindness and consideration.

As we have experienced in the past year, life has been challenging enough without adding further restrictions to activities we all enjoy. Town Council would be well advised to live up to its own initiative expressed in the tag line Be Kind, Be Considerate and let people intuitively practice these words for a better life in our community.
