I am the second eldest of nine children, seven of my siblings live in Ireland with their spouses and 21 children and 14 grandchildren between them. My 82-year-old mother and dearest friend, entered a nursing home just before COVID-19 started. She has been in at least three, two-week quarantines in the last year. All the family live close to the nursing home, but my mother cannot remember when she last had a hug from one of her family members, how crazy is that? She can now, by appointment have a 30-minute visit from a family member across a table with a glass partition between her and her loved one. Still no hugs! That is like a visit you would have if you were a prisoner. A family member can look in her bedroom window to see her when they go by to drop off items she needs.

So, for all the seniors out there I want to say I love you and have such compassion for you all at this time. I have a divine inspired word for everyone, but for Mother's Day I want to encourage all moms.

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for I you,” declares the Lord “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. “

This is a divine promise and His word does not return to Him void, but will accomplish what he sent it forth to do. So, we will prosper, we do have a hope and a future. We work together with Him for this to happen, how? By just saying yes to what He has promised. Be encouraged! What the evil agendas meant for harm He will turn around for good.

I would like to share a poem with you my daughter wrote for me 14 years ago. Sarah is now a mother of three beautiful children

My Mom

My mom is an amazing woman.

Born on an Island in the sea,

Raised on God’s green-painted canvas.

Growing wings she flew oe’r the Atlantic,

Landing cozy in a great land of lights

What is the mission God sent her on?

That she is favored with more hours in the day,

What is this life she is living

That she moves like a bee to the pollen?
