Activities to look for in Cochrane’s Winter Program and Activity Guide are ‘dance yourself fit’, ‘Latin line dancing’, ‘beginner snowshoe’, ‘watercolour painting’ and ‘acrylic painting’.

Dave Paul begins Bible studies Jan. 15 from 7 to 9 p.m.

World Youth volunteers Rosario and Liam will conduct Nicaraguan cooking classes Tuesdays at 11 a.m., Jan. 21 and 28. You can also learn to salsa Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. and Jan. 23 at 2 p.m.

The Book Club meets Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. to discuss The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Ran Away by Jon Jonasson.

Coffee With Mayor Ivan Brooker is Jan. 22 at 1:30 p.m.

On Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m. the popular ‘hymn sing’ returns.

One-on-one computer training is available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment by calling 403-942-6002.

NOTE: A highlight is a musical evening with Marcos Parrado. Marcos will demonstrate his Andean musical instruments Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. and give us a glimpse of life in Bolivia; $5 covers refreshments and the presentation.

Monday Movie Matinees is at 1:30 p.m.:

Jan. 27—The Butler, the biography of a butler who served under eight presidents. Stars Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey.

Seniors Drop In Centre hours are 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. Monday to Friday except holidays.
