Being new to computer use and looking at Facebook, I came across your newspaper (The Cochrane Eagle) and saw Bragg Creak mentioned.

In 1956 or 1957 I was working on a ranch in the Jumping Pound area.

My boss was a fellow by the name of Tom Bateman. He was an older gentleman at the time.

He shouted to me one morning and said to saddle two horses becuse we had to head toward Bragg Creak to look for three lost children and a dog. They were lost in the bush country.

Long story short, I found them and the dog, brought them in, fed them.

I have often wondered if they were still around the area. I am 87 years old now and often wondered what ever happened to them.

I was a pretty new comer to Canada at that time from England. I have spent my life between Alberta and Ontario.

Wish I was back beside Bragg Creak now. I shared a plate of food with Clarence Copithorne, one day at a branding session.

Thank You,

Slim Parsons
