Motorcyclist dies in rollover near Redwood Meadows

A motorcyclist who lost control of his vehicle and swerved into a ditch died of his injuries May 1 on Highway 22, north of Redwood Meadows.

Cochrane RCMP responded to a fatal motorcycle collision near Redwood Meadows on May 1.

A motorcyclist who lost control of his vehicle and swerved into a ditch died of his injuries May 1 on Highway 22, north of Redwood Meadows.

Cochrane RCMP, Redwood Meadows Emergency Services, and EMS personnel responded to the single-vehicle incident at approximately 5:10 p.m. 

"The investigation determined that a north-bound motorcycle lost control, entered the ditch and rolled," a press release from RCMP stated.

The driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle – a 71-year-old male from Calgary – was pronounced deceased at the scene. An RCMP collision analyst attended and assisted with the investigation, according to RCMP.
