Good morning, Cochrane.
Happy Tuesday to you! Here are a few things to get you going.
Fun fact
Did you know that KFC is a traditional holiday food in Japan?
The BBC reported an estimated 3.6 million Japanese families eat the finger-lickin' good chicken during the Christmas season.
Many have to wait in long lineups just to put in their order in advance.
The Christmas promotion was orchestrated by the manager of the country's first franchise, Takeshi Okawara, said Business Insider.
Okawara came up with the idea to sell a "party barrel," inspired by turkey dinners in North America — but, with chicken.
Kurisumasu ni wa Kentakkii, or Kentucky for Christmas, went national in 1974, filling a void of traditions around the holiday, according to Joonas Rokka, an associate professor of marketing at the Emylon Business School in France.
Even Colonel Sanders dresses up for the occasion.
Weather
Environment Canada is calling for a high of -16 C and periods of snow that are expected to end in the morning.
With windchill, though, it will feel more like -28 C in the morning and -21 C in the afternoon.
The federal agency is warning of frostbite, so remember to dress for the weather.
