GEALS, Claudette Therese (nee Bazinet) July 10, 1941 – Timmins, Ontario July 9, 2020 – Cochrane, Alberta It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Claudette Bazinet Geals on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the age of 78 years. Claudette was born and raised in the northern Ontario. She was a woman of strong will and conviction. She instilled those traits in her children and for this we will be eternally grateful. Claudette was actively involved with the Royal Canadian Legion, Royal Canadian Air Cadets as well an advocate for inclusive senior events. She enjoyed cribbage, scrabble, backgammon, Yahtzee and Aggravation (board game). Travel and camping were also a passion. Time with others was always the most appreciated part of all these activities. She is survived by her children Jo-Ann Breton (Carl), Richard Breton (Carrie), Debbrah Breton, Marc Breton (Wendy), Leah Messer (Jason), Scott Breton (Tracy), and Kevin Laffin (Kirsten). She is also survived by her siblings Michel Bazinet (Lorraine) and Jacquline Bazinet (John) Matthews; grandchildren Eric Bouley, Tammi Fidler, Jake Breton, Lisa Knauz, James Breton, Alisha Breton, Justin Breton, Jillann Breton, Daralee, Desiray, Mackenzie, and Ethan; as well as her great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and numerous extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander Geals (March 7th, 2020), her parents Roland and Laurette (Poitras) Bazinet, as well as her brother Guy.
