A surprise snowfall and several frosty mornings mean Cochrane seniors have signed up at Seniors on the Bow (SOTB) for fitness classes and other group activities.
Monday movie matinee at 1:30 p.m., Sept. 22 features True Grit starring John Wayne, Kim Darby and Glen Campbell, an old-time favourite.
The intergenerational program was so successful last year that it will begin this year with orientation Tuesday, Sept. 23 and Thursday, Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. when seniors join with youth from St. Timothy High School. If you enjoy working with young people register at SOTB.
Watercolour classes begin Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. Register with the Town of Cochrane at 403-851-2500 or cochrane.ca/eServices.
Floor curling begins Monday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. This is a good option to ice curling.
Note that drop-in passes are available during the fall season for fitness classes. Contact the town to obtain one, which will allow you to visit before you commit.
Rosebud Theatre is offering two performances this fall – Doubt – A Parable Oct. 2 and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Nov. 27.
Register as soon as you can because these shows fill up quickly.
Also, mark on your calendar the always-successful fall fashion show Saturday, Oct. 18, which will feature Tan Jay and Alia Clothing.

Volunteers are urgently needed to serve at front desk reception or as drop-in hosts/hostesses. Please sign up on the September and October calendars posted at SOTB.
SOTB is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. except holidays. SOTB will be closed Monday, Oct. 13 for Thanksgiving Day.
