Letter to the Editor: Commending the effort of our paper boy

It was a dismal day, Thursday 4 April 2024 - the snow was thick, wet and heavy.

And yet; despite this, our local Gleneagles newspaper boy was out delivering.

I watched as he valiantly fought to push his stroller/trolley, laden with newspapers, through the worst of snow conditions, but getting nowhere fast.

Did he give up? No! Rather than launch the paper up the driveway, I watched as he climbed the steps to a house and then carefully place the newspaper inside the mailbox before diligently closing the lid.

He was then rescued by a friend who helped him unload the newspaper tote to lighten the weight and then carry the wagon across the snow before resuming his round.

Good job, you are much appreciated!
