Hwy 3 pedestrian crash claims the life of Crowsnest Pass woman

A 37-year-old woman from Blairmore, Alta. has died after being struck by a vehicle near the Burmis Tree late yesterday afternoon.

Crowsnest Pass RCMP are looking into a fatal collision between a pedestrian and vehicle along a stretch of Highway 3 near the Burmis Tree. A 37-year-old woman from Blairmore has been identified as the person who died late Thursday afternoon.

A 37-year-old woman from Blairmore, Alta. has died after being struck by a vehicle near the Burmis Tree late yesterday afternoon.

Crowsnest RCMP say the collision happened just before 6 p.m. on Highway 3 at Range Road 31.

The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, died from her injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was uninjured.

Police continue their investigation and say early indications are that alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the incident.
