Calgary Police are investigating after a woman was found dead near the Bow River in Foothills County.
On Oct. 6 at about 8 a.m., police were called to the area around Policeman's Flats, about 5 kilometres south of Calgary, for reports of a woman in medical distress.
When they arrived, officers located a woman who was deceased.
The Calgary Police homicide unit is investigating the circumstances of the woman's death.
An autopsy is expected to take place next week.
Police said no further information is available, as the investigation is in its early stages.
