The Beaupre Artists’ Guild is holding its annual Art Show and Sale and Spring Tea on June 11 and 12.

June 11 will feature art on display from a number of the guild’s members as well as complimentary snacks and refreshments. The event will be taking place at Beaupre Community Hall located at 264257 Beaupre Creek Rd. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

New this year, the guild’s spring tea will be held on the second day of the art show, June 12. Admission for the tea is $5 per person, but there is no admission for those attending for the art show. Alongside tea and coffee, the guild will be serving scones and other pastries during the event, which will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Each member will be displaying around five pieces – the art will range from canvas to fibre to 3D. Proceeds from the art sales will go directly to the artist.

The guild currently has 38 members from the Ghost Valley area and meets weekly at the Beaupre Hall. Hanne Seidel, a member of the guild for roughly eight years, says the group is very supportive and a lot of fun.

“The Beaupre Artists Guild is a place where we all learn from each other – we have fun, it’s not political, and we laugh a lot. It’s incredibly supportive,” Seidel explained.

Seidel said the only rules are that members must be kind and clean up after themselves. Currently membership is restricted to residents of the Ghost Valley.
