The Cochrane Legion Branch #15 – known as the “men of vision” branch – received its charter by special act of parliament on Oct. 22, 1926. Ninety years later, the organization will host a birthday party to celebrate their many decades of veterans’ care and remembrance.
Legion members are inviting everyone to attend their event on Oct. 22 from 12 to 4 p.m, where there will be a barbeque, music, face painting, a photo booth and a birthday cake.
“In the last 90 years in Cochrane, the Legion has been an integral part of the community and if possible, we would like to remain in the community in to the future,” said legion spokesperson Steve Merritt.
