The documentary of the same name – a haunting memoir of famed photographer and filmmaker Robert Frank – will showcase on Oct. 19 at the Cochrane Movie House.

The 82-minute film is a New York Times Critics’ Pick and chronicles the life of Frank – an anti-industrialist who most famously cast his unflinching lens on 1950s post-war America. Frank was born in Switzerland in 1924 and is well known in artistic circles for his unanticipated view of the world.

In the film, documentarian Laura Israel spends time with the now 91-year-old in his New York City apartment, as well as in a Nova Scotia cabin Frank has owned for many years.

Don’t Blink – Robert Frank tickets are available for $10 at The Gentry and Tea… and Other Things. The screening starts at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, and a discussion of the film will take place afterward at The Gentry.
