Be sure to check out Bragg Creek Days happening July 23 and 24 hosted by the Bragg Creek Community Association.

On July 23, the event will kick off with a pancake breakfast at 9:00 a.m. sponsored by the Redwood Meadows Fire Department and a parade at 10:00 a.m.

Following the parade will be an outdoor market from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the community centre, beer gardens, and live entertainment by Wakeup Starlight and Grant Kanigan. Attendees can also enjoy bouncy houses, a 50/50 draw, pony rides, face painting, acrobat performances, games and food.

New to the event will be a pie-eating contest sponsored by the Sugar Shake Bakery from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Participants can sign up for either the adult or child category by emailing [email protected].

Admission for the event on July 23 is free for community centre members and $5 for people aged 4 to 64 years old.

The motorcycle charity event Ride for Sight will be taking place at the community centre on July 24 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The volunteer-run event will start with a pancake breakfast and feature a poker rally, beer gardens, an outdoor market, bike games and much more.

Admission for this event is free, with all donations and proceeds going towards vision science. So far the charity has raised more than $20 million for researchers at hospitals and universities across Canada.
